David Bargman - President
David Bargman practiced law for twenty years before entering legal recruiting. As an Associate in a top-tier Park Avenue law firm, he was active in law school and lateral recruiting and a board member and Chairman of the Board of the Council of New York Law Associates, now the Lawyers Alliance for New York.
He spent eight years as an in-house attorney, first at a communications conglomerate and then as General Counsel of a NYSE-listed motion picture producer and distributor. Mr. Bargman returned to private pr actice in 1991 as principal of the Law Office of David Bargman, focusing on Entertainment, Trademark, Copyright, and Employment matters.
Mr. Bargman's interest in the evolution of the legal profession and career planning led him to serve on the Bar of the City of New York's Committee on Small Firm Management. As Chairman of the Subcommittee of Mentoring, he prepared a report to the Association described in an article in the New York Law Journal that he also authored. His legal background and professional involvement have proven instrumental to his success as a recruiter by providing him with a keen perspective on the legal marketplace and the ability to understand and address his clients' needs for managed growth and practice stature.
Mr. Bargman's education includes a B.A. in Philosophy from Trinity College, an M.Sc. in Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Terri Baum - Researcher
Terri Baum (no relation) is Baum, Stevens’ researcher. Terri is a former high school teacher of Spanish and French who is also fluent in Portuguese and Italian. Her English is pretty good as well. When she is not tracking the job market for Baum, Stevens, Terri pursues her language studies, gardens, and goes to the opera and Pilates classes.
